Celebrating Death

After reflecting on the events of last night I have come to a personal moral conclusion with how I feel about the death of Osama bin Laden. I had mixed feelings about my fellow Americans celebrating in the streets of D.C. and Ground Zero. Were these people celebrating the death of a person or the end of terror and tyranny by that person? If it was the latter then I was grateful to see rejoicing! Every man, woman and child should rejoice when evil is stopped and justice is served, but if these people were celebrating the killing of a man I'm saddened and ashamed. Do we have the right as an individual or as a nation to celebrate the death of anyone?
I believe everyone who watched or read about the announcement  thought back to 9-11 and where they were that day. I can almost remember every detail of that morning. I also remember in the days after the attacks seeing footage of some people and terror groups in middle eastern nations celebrating in the streets about the death that had just been brought to our shores. Many were glad to see the United States was no longer untouchable and that the "sleeping giant" would bleed when pricked. This begs the question: Are we not the same as our enemy when we celebrate the death of another human being, no matter who this person was?
So celebrate the end of evil, tyranny, terror, or even our brave men and women who carry out these brave missions but never celebrate the death of a person.
And that's how I feel...I think.

Baby on Board!

Our little baby at 7 weeks!
This little gal or guy will be making a grand entrance around the end of November! We heard a strong little heart beat at our first appointment. The doctor said she will have a better due date for us on our next checkup. We are so excited! Stay tuned for more baby posts!

(On a side note: I realize we had a five year plan and yes I understand it hasn't been two years yet.)

Random words

I usually post pictures or videos of random things because I don't care for writing my thoughts and feelings. Writing exposes a person. The written word is permanent. Of course you can see who a person is through the words that come out of their mouth but text lasts far longer. When you write, those words become yours. They are coated with your DNA. Whether you want them or not the words you write will follow you to your grave and beyond. The moment the words you speak are written down they will never die. Video will record the sound and the moment but the meaning will live on in the words that are written. I've always admired those who can tame the pen. I've often wondered why this gift skipped me for the most part. It's not that I can't write but I don't love it. *End of thought*

Snow lapse.

I was messing around with "Lapse It" on my phone. Cool app. It has a way to go but for the most part does what it promises. (Thanks to @cimcity for the recommendation) This was shot in 40 minutes and plays at 10 frames per second.

Auto complete

This is what happens when you don't read what you write. Auto complete retool make you look like an outdoor. Our minds are so used to this happening that we have the ability to auto fix in our minds. Us this a good thing? Maybe. Our maybe we need less and less language to get our points across. Having the strong words in a sentence only affects the meaning it's the context is string sad well. Do you get what I'm setting?

Ice

I found some ice in a garbage in my grandpa's backyard a week ago. It was epic so I dumped it out and rolled it into the garden. It's still there to this very day.

So yummy and so fattening.

Hole in the floor. Minecraft

Minecraft does for gamers what Legos did for them as children. If you haven't tried this sandbox game I suggest you give it a shot. Simple graphics and unlimited possibilities.
